Analisis Kesalahan Bahasa dalam Karangan Bahasa Melayu Pelajar Menengah Bawah di Negara Brunei Darussalam

Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengenal pasti kesalahan bahasa dari aspek morfologi, semantik dan ortografi dalam penulisan karangan pelajar menengah bawah di Negara Brunei Darussalam (NBD). Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan ialah Taksonomi Kategori Linguistik (TKL) diperkenalkan oleh Burt, Dulay Krashen (1982). menggunakan kaedah kualitatif kuantitatif jumlah kekerapan ditemukan. Sebanyak tiga sampel dipilih secara rawak daripada tugasan dikumpulkan sekolah berlainan daerah Muara, NBD. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat sebanyak 104 bahasa. Kesalahan paling kerap (73%), diikuti morfologi (25%) (2%). Antara banyak ditemukan termasuklah penggunaan huruf besar kecil, tanda baca, kata dipengaruhi ibunda asing imbuhan. Dapatan masih lemah penguasaan rumus tatabahasa betul belum dapat menguasai tatabahasa. Sebagai saranan, pengajaran latihan intensif perlu diterapkan kepada pelajar. Di samping itu, guru juga mengambil pelbagai inisiatif kreatif sebagai teknik berkesan.
